Thanks to the national project in Nizhny Novgorod, 20 new buses entered the city route
As part of the Safe High-Quality Roads national project, new comfortable urban transport has entered another metropolitan area - 20 LiAZ buses have added to the fleet of Nizhny Novgorod.

A feature of the new transport is operation on compressed natural gas. This is one of the most environmentally friendly types of motor fuel, its use can significantly reduce the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

The new rolling stock is equipped with anti-vandal seats and anti-slip flooring. It is adapted to transport people with limited mobility and passengers with strollers. The vehicles have a special place for attaching wheelchairs and for a guide dog.

New buses entered the city route No. 40 "Microdistrict Yug - microdistrict Verkhniye Pechory".

“Route 40 is one of the longest in the city. It is important that passengers feel comfortable in the bus, and that drivers get less tired at the wheel, since the safety of the trip directly depends on this, ”said Sergei Morozov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

This is already the second consignment of transport delivered to Nizhny Novgorod under the national project “Safe high-quality roads”. Last year, the city received 84 buses, they operate on social routes A-43, A-48 and others.

In 2021, the renewal of the rolling stock of urban passenger transport is carried out within the framework of the new federal project "Modernization of passenger transport in urban agglomerations", included in the national project "Safe high-quality roads". Federal support is provided using a preferential leasing mechanism based on a competitive selection of the country's subjects to provide carriers with the right to purchase vehicles with a 60% discount. In total, in 2021, 13 urban agglomerations will receive 412 units of new rolling stock.
